IF
YOU LOOK LIKE THIS YOU NEED
MAGNESIUM!

Magnesium
needs to be present in
optimal amounts for muscles
and the nervous system to
relax properly. When it is
not present in sufficient
quantities in the body
people remain tense and
often have trouble sleeping.
Severe magnesium deficiency
sometimes manifests as
"tics" or
"twitching" of
muscles especially around
the eyes. Calcium
competes for the same
absorption sites as
magnesium and takes
precedence. Even calcium
rich foods such as dairy can
partially block magnesium
absorption.
Although calcium is very
important, magnesium is
critical as well and many
people are out of balance
with these two minerals.
Can't
I just take additional
magnesium tablets?
Although
that can help, it is
difficult to get enough
magnesium through a tablet
to make much difference.
Magnesium in pill form is
not absorbed very well even
when taken separately and at
a different time of the day
from calcium. The unabsorbed
magnesium continues on
through the intestines and
will have a laxative affect.
With ordinary magnesium
supplements most people seem
to get a strong laxative
effect long before they get
enough magnesium in their
system to help much with
sleep problems. The
magnesium in Natural Calm is
absorbed so much better that
most people immediately
(within 20-30 minutes)
notice that they feel their
muscles starting to relax.
For the first time chronic
magnesium deficiency can be
very easily alleviated and
the balance between calcium
and magnesium restored.
Although I recommend that
people take only the
magnesium for the first two
weeks to get their levels
back up, most people
eventually find a balance of
magnesium and calcium
supplements that works for
them. Some people take
Natural Calm at night and a
separate calcium supplement
in the morning and some
people just use the powdered
Cal-Mag or Cal-Mag Plus from
the same people who make
Natural Calm.
Here are
some links to other sites
regarding magnesium. I have
no direct connection or
association to these sites
but they should give you
some idea about the
importance of magnesium and
the prevalence of magnesium
deficiency. Magnesium is
important in so many
important areas such as
heart health, osteoporosis
and blood pressure.
